In order to understand the root causes and long-term outcomes of access to educational opportunities across family, school, neighborhood, and policy contexts, CERP3 leverages theory, data, methods, and expertise from social work, social policy, public health, education, economics, sociology, medicine, and engineering. We foster this collaborative work by:

  • Holding convenings where researchers from across the university can share their work
  • Promoting the science of individual researchers, so that we learn from one another
  • Creating shared research opportunities, so that we can tackle challenges together
  • Providing multidisciplinary support for grant scoping, writing, and reviewing
Center Scholars

Center scholars are leading researchers and practitioners at WashU, focused on improving the outcomes of learners. These scholars have access to opportunities and support from the center in our key functions – collaboration, education practice, data, and policy – as well as:

Working Groups

As we were developing our center, we held a series of listening sessions to understand what was important to education researchers at WashU. Those conversations surfaced a few areas where WashU faculty’s interest overlap:

  • Technology in Education
  • Workforce Development
  • Support for Students
  • Student Health and Mental Health
  • Climate Change Education

If you are interested in being part of one of these working groups, or want to see what they are working on, please contact CERP3@washu.edu.
