Members of CERP3 are leading efforts throughout the St. Louis Region that bring researchers and educators together.
Institute for School Partnership

Through meaningful collaboration with schools and districts we advance equitable quality education.
At the Institute for School Partnership we believe existing challenges are extraordinary and unique to each situation and location. Meeting them can’t be achieved without purposeful cooperation with those in the community who are doing the daily work of educating children. That is why our methodology is based on partnership with local schools and districts.

St. Louis Research Practice Collaborative

The SRPC is a partnership between area researchers and St. Louis regional school leaders to respond to the needs of students and educators using rigorous research.
Decisions to make sustainable and effective improvements in schools require data and rigorous analysis. Though schools collect and report an enormous amount of data, they are often constrained by the time and resources needed to analyze it deeply. Researchers may have data analysis expertise but have challenges gaining access to it quickly and understanding which questions are most meaningful to pursue. A research-practice partnership, or RPP, is a partnership between researchers and school practitioners to analyze education data to help schools serve their students better.

Health Equity, Opportunity and Education Laboratory

The Health Equity, Opportunity, and Education Laboratory, or the HOPE Lab, conducts community-engaged, people-centered, justice-oriented research to advance health and educational equity, improve opportunity, and implement change in our communities.
The HOPE lab seeks to understand the interdependence of health, development, education, occupation, participation, and opportunity across the life course. Chronic diseases exert disproportionate influences on youth, impacting development, education, participation and life opportunity. The HOPE lab is particularly interested in disrupting patterns of systemic injustice by (1) identifying and naming the ways in which systemic racism and structural inequities impact outcomes for youth with chronic conditions, and (2) addressing the complications of chronic diseases and the unidentified impacts these conditions have on everyday functioning for youth in community and educational contexts through the development and implementation interventions to support youth with chronic diseases.
