Join CERP³ for a hands-on workshop exploring how AI tools can strengthen research workflows, with a particular focus on applications for education researchers. This session will offer practical strategies and tools to support your research. Please see below and the attached document for additional details.
Led by: Yung Chun, PhD Research Assistant Professor at the Brown School and Director of Data at CERP3. You can read more about his work here: https://brownschool.washu.edu/faculty-and-research/yung-chun/

Hillman Hall, Room 130
Coffee and Pastries Provided
This half day session is aimed at researchers who already have a working analysis process and want to make it faster and more reproducible. It is not aimed at replacing your judgment with AI, but at automating the tedious, error-prone parts of a research pipeline (data cleaning, script execution, drafting) so that more of your attention goes to design and interpretation. It covers agentic tools like Claude CLI working directly inside a project directory (as distinct from copy-pasting into a chat window), how to pair that with WashU’s free Gemini Pro license for literature review and synthesis, and how to set up a reproducible project structure with a version-controlled “project memory” file. The session closes with a practical module on data sensitivity tiers and where AI tools should not be used with research data.
Space is limited to 15 slots, so we encourage you to register soon if you’re interested. Please let us know if you have any questions.
