CERP3 collaborators support a diverse array of educational outreach programs designed to enhance science and math learning through hands-on, inquiry-based approaches administered by WashU’s Institute for School Partnership (ISP), including:
ASSET (Advancing Secondary Science Education through Tetrahymena), a science education outreach program that provides modular science education materials designed to stimulate hands-on, inquiry-based learning of fundamental biological concepts for all grade levels.
Math314 supports teachers in becoming learners and leaders who encourage inquiry, risk-taking and conceptual understanding by experiencing mathematics in rich and meaningful ways.
mySci, a comprehensive, high-quality, kit-based program for K-8 classrooms that directly supports teachers with professional learning and instructional materials centered around solving real-world problems through experiential learning and critical thinking.
Sci314, a program providing a flexible array of professional learning formats that help science educators and administrators to deliberately practice and reflect on instructional strategies that increase positive science identities and outcomes.
Summer Teacher Researcher Program is one of the many ways that the ISP provides campus-wide support for WashU faculty to develop partnership and outreach opportunities with St. Louis-area schools. The program offers paid professional development opportunities for area middle and high school teachers to spend four to six weeks in the summer working alongside WashU faculty in cutting-edge labs. Teachers gain firsthand experience at the heart of real scientific research, transform what they learn into engaging lessons to test in the classroom and share with other educators, and help bring real world science to more students.
MilliporeSigma Curiosity Labs™ inspires budding young scientists in 25 countries with lessons that are updated on a continual basis and aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
AT&T Digital Navigation Program enhances digital fluency for PreK-12 educators with workshops and mentorship opportunities designed to enhance core learning for leveraging technology in the classroom.
